Positively Black in Southwestern Ontario News

Black Youth Mentorship Program: The Positively Black in Southwestern Ontario project is offering mentorship opportunities for Black youth aged between 15 and 25. This project is a collaborative research initiative between Black Scholars at Western University and different stakeholders across SWO. It is a one-to-one voluntary mentorship program between a mentor and a mentee with parental support in critical choices such as transitioning from high school, career decisions, and mental health support. Parents/guardians willing for their ward(s) to be part of this program should kindly fill out this survey.

A Call for Community Leaders, Associates, and Individuals: The Positively Black in Southwestern Ontario project that aspires to uplift black youth lives through rigorous research and mentorship programs, is seeking Black professionals, educators, experts, consultants, etc., to volunteer to mentor/tutor Black youth in education, professional development and culturally-informed life skills development. The mentorship program will help Black youth at a critical stage of life and help create tomorrow's leaders, educators, professionals, and mentors. We call upon all community members to help us reach out to potential mentors/tutors within your community, networks, and friends. Here is the link to sign up for this worthy call.
